Update on Jan. 1st, 2024: I got a note from Chuck that he is feeling better and back at the news desk here at FGGAM today! Chuck thanks you all for your love and prayers! Please continue to pray Team Jesus, that the crud will be completely gone! Love in Jesus to you all! Happy New Year from all of us here at FGGAM
Team Jesus, Brother Chuck Akeley has been struggling with the crud for days now. He has been running a fever and coughing so much he cannot sleep. Whatever this crud is it has got Chuck and many others down in bed. It took me and Sharon about a month to get rid of it. We miss Chuck here at FGGAM so much! We know he will be back soon! Please keep our brother Chuck in your prayers as we go to the Lord.
Oh Lord, our precious friend Chuck is ill, whom we now commend to Your compassionate regard. No healing is too hard for You!. We therefore pray that You bless our Chuck with Your loving care, renew Chuck’s strength, and heal what ails him in Your precious loving name, Amen!
I want to also ask you to pray for all who are sick, such as my Dear friend Dale Severance in Minnesota. Dale posted this on his Facebook last night: What a way to end the year, sitting in icu with tubes in both arms. Severe case of cellulitis on my left, bladder infection, blood infection, and trying to correct my low blood pressure,
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servant, and give your power of healing to those who minister to Dale’s needs, that he may be strengthened in his weakness and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray Amen.
Let us all pray now for all those who are sick at this time, as I am getting many reports of so many that are having a difficult time right now with their health.
My Lord and my God, please help all those that are suffering from sickness, weakness and pain. We ask that You sustain them Lord by Your grace so that their strength and courage do not fail. Please heal them Lord. Oh Lord! We love you so much! We give our lives to you. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen!
Its been a few years……but I got to meet Pastor Jerry and his lovely bride Ruthi as they were traveling through Albuquerque.
Last night before I went to sleep, I saw this message from Pastor Jerry McCullah’s bride Ruthi…………
Friends, Jerry is in the ER at Palmdale Regional in Palmdale. He had a vertigo episode that landed on the floor. They transported him via ambulance. Running tests. Last 5 hours on a gurney in a hallway. Please pray.
I prayed…….I am sure many others did also.
Then this morning I read this from Pastor Jerry….
I am home finally. Many tests, fluids, your prayers, love and meds. Resting through last day of 2023.
Pastor Jerry is such a tremendous man of God. He writes for God here at FGGAM. Jerry is a Vietnam War Veteran. Some of his aliments may have come about from serving in Vietnam. Jerry fights through them with prayer. He continues everyday to serve the Lord as Pastor of Green Valley, California Bible Chapel. The man has such godly tenacity. Jerry and his precious bride Ruthi make such a dynamic team for our Lord. Please keep them both in your prayers.
I got to meet Pastor Jerry and Ruthi through their son Chris, who I worked with in Christian radio. I was blessed to meet this very special couple years ago in Albuquerque for breakfast as they where traveling though New Mexico. What a treat!
Dear God, we place Pastor Jerry in your hands. We place him under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. We also pray for Sister Ruthi to bring peace and comfort to her. Lord, we love these two so very much. Thank you for bringing them into our lives. We love you Lord. In Jesus mighty and loving name, we pray, Amen.
Pastor Jerry has inspired me so much over the years in my walk with JESUS!
Please continue to pray fir Sonja Haldeman……..
Sonja wrote this years ago…..she makes me cry tears of joy. You cannot find many friends like her.
The last couple of weeks I have been talking to Sonja Haldeman my classmate from Windom, Minnesota. We graduated in 1974. Sonja lived just up the street from us. Years ago Sonja contacted me and said something like this. “WOW!! Dewey, you were so shy back in school, what happed? You now are in radio and a Pastor!” I told her, YES! They can’t shut me up now! LOL! Sonja has been such an encouragement over the years!
Sonja had breast cancer years ago. I am so sad to tell you that the cancer has returned. I talked with her daughter Angie today, and the family covets your prayers for healing.
I would be thankful if you would put her on your prayer list at home and at your Church. I know for a fact that Sonja and her hubby Steve, and the entire family, are grateful for your prayers of healing and love.
The picture above is from one of the Revivals FGGAM held in Windom, Minnesota!
Lord, we pray for healing for Sonja. We pray that Sonja and family find refuge in You in the midst of their pain. May You continue to give them the strength to keep going — to push through these dark moments and know You are with them every step of the way. Lord, we pray for healing for Sonja, we love her so much. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
