The 12 Days Of Christmas Songs “2023” (Day 11)

Credit: Godtube [www.godtube.com]

On this Christmas Eve, we are exceedingly thankful for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  We are lost for sufficient words to describe the love Jesus poured out on us by entering into this earthly world as a baby boy – fully human, yet fully God, living a sinless life as an example to all.  He willingly suffered in our place, taking the punishment for our sin (the propitiation), so that those who believe upon the name of Jesus would be saved and have eternal life in the very presence of God!  Amen!

John 3:16-17 (NKJV)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Hebrews 2:14-17 (NKJV)
“Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.  Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.”

Hebrews 10:10-12 (NLT)
“For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.  Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins.  But our High Priest offered [H]imself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time.  Then [H]e sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.”

1 John 2:1-2 (NKJV)
“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.  And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.  And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”

1 John 4:9-10 (NKJV)
“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

For Day 11 (Christmas Eve), here is David Phelps singing O Holy Night with Bill and Gloria Gaither (and friends).  My brothers and sisters, if there is only one song in this series you listen to, this should be the one.  I’ve never heard in my entire lifetime a more powerful and heartfelt rendition of this song!

Please worship along with O Holy Night:

Here are the lyrics:

O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new glorious morn
Fall on your knees
O hear the angels’ voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night divine o night
O night divine

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new glorious morn
Fall on your knees
O hear the angels’ voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night divine o night
O night divine

God bless you all!  Hopefully you’ll come back to FGGAM’s website tomorrow and join me for the final Christmas song(s) in this series on Day 12.  Tomorrow is Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Praise Jesus forevermore!
