The First of His Miraculous Signs…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This morning I was reading about how Jesus turned the water into wine at Cana in Galilee. John 2 tells us in verses 1-12 this story. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,  and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.  When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”  Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.” What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days. He revealed his glory as he demonstrated who he is, and his disciples put their faith in him. This was his first of his miraculous signs.

Today, you may not need Jesus to turn water into wine, but you may have another circumstance that you are believing for. Put your faith in him and thank him that he is still performing miracles today. Are you ready for a good day?

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you that you are the faithful Father. You are still performing miracles today.  Thank you that you will always have the final say and our faith stands in you and in you alone.

Father, thank you that this is the year of the overflow. Our cup runneth over this morning because we drink from the cup that never runs dry. (Isaiah 58:11)

Father, perform miracles today, because you can, and because we believe. All things are possible for those that believe. (Luke 1:37) Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Keep your eyes on the God of Miracles today. He always comes through.
