The Associated Press (“AP News”) is reporting that the University of Pennsylvania’s President, Liz Magill, has resigned amid pressure from donors and strong criticism following her testimony at a December 5, 2023 congressional hearing where she was unable to say under repeated questioning whether calls for the genocide of Jews would violate the university’s conduct policy.
Only hours following Magill’s resignation, the university’s Board of Trustees Chairman Scott Bok also resigned. Chairman Bok had defended Magill for months over criticism of the university’s handling of concerns about antisemitism.
Calls for Magill’s firing exploded after her testimony before a congressional hearing of the United States (“US”) House of Representatives regarding antisemitism on college campuses. Magill testified along with President Claudine Gay of Harvard University and President Sally Kornbluth of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (“MIT”). All three provided similar testimony regarding alleged antisemitism on their university campuses.

The Times of Israel has also reported in this matter. The Times of Israel article may be read HERE.
Universities across the US have been accused of failing to protect Jewish students amid rising fears of antisemitism since the deadly attack against Israel by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023 and increasing worldwide fallout from Israel’s war against Hamas.
Perhaps the release or resignation of some high-level university administrators will help to realign thinking and perspective among so many US institutions of higher learning – with an emphasis on seeking the truth of the matter! It’s hard to watch so many Americans seemingly embrace antisemitism – and whether they realize it or not – seemingly gloss over or embrace acts of genocide against the Jewish people.
“Never Again” seems to have been lost on many in our current generation. Perhaps schools are failing to teach the true history of WWII, the resulting cold war with the USSR, and the 1948 internationally-recognized establishment of Israel?
Some scripture to consider:
Deuteronomy 7:6 (NKJV)
“For you [the Jews] are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)
“…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
John 10:10 (NKJV)
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John 14:6 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to [Thomas], ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
1 Corinthians 3:19 (NLT)
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, ‘He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.’”
And let’s never forget, whether Jew or Palestinian, the Father desires for all to be one with Him. The Father loves us just like He loves Jesus!
John 17:20-23 (NKJV)
Jesus Prays to the Father
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me [emphasis mine].”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
