An Extra Dose Of Kindness In 2024…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Day 8 of our best year yet! 8 is the number of new beginnings. Perfect for today, it being Monday another new beginning.
I was thinking of my mother this morning. People always told me what a kind woman she was. That made me proud to be her daughter. I proudly wear her beautiful rose pin on my winter coat.
Living our best year yet in 2024, let’s ask God for more opportunities to use kindness in our daily lives.
A kind word, act or deed goes a long way in a world where people are rushed, hurting and in need of some kindness. We can all step it up in 2024. I read somewhere this saying, you will never look into the eyes of someone God does not love. Always be kind.
I remember a journey I was on in Hollywood some years ago. Another sister in Christ and I had been on a two-week mission trip to the Dream Center in LA. I especially love doing street ministry. I love to meet new people and enjoy discovering their God-given gift.
On this journey as we were walking down the street, we met a man sitting outside a restaurant with a cup asking for money. We accompanied him into a restaurant and bought him some lunch. We spoke with him to discover how he came upon his hard times. We said a prayer and we ate lunch together. A beautiful soul that needed some help and some prayer. I pondered his outcome this morning. I am sure God heard and answered our prayer.
Ready to kick kindness up a notch? People are so beautiful, and they mean so much to God. Because they mean so much to him, they must mean the same to us.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that kindness is a fruit of the spirit. Thank you for my kind mother. Help me to be more like her, I pray.
Father, when we look into the eyes of someone you love, (which is everyone) oh God, remind us Holy Spirit to be kind. No matter what they have done or who they are, may we show kindness.
Father, thank you for opportunities to show acts of kindness today and every day in 2024. Father, may our kind acts done in secret today, help another to live a better life in 2024. Father, lead us today and may we always give from our well that never runs dry, because you continually fill us up. Amen.
