NBC News reports that U.S. President Joe Biden convened key cabinet members today (1/22/2024) to discuss abortion rights on the 51st anniversary of the Roe v. Wade ruling. This was the fourth time the president’s task force on reproductive health care access has met since Roe v. Wade was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022.
Biden reiterated his call for the U.S. Congress to codify abortion protections established under the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, saying “stop playing politics with…women’s lives and freedom. Let doctors do their job!”
Both the White House and Biden’s re-election campaign have been blaming Republicans and slamming the GOP’s more restrictive stance on abortion as a “dangerous, extreme, and out-of-touch agenda.”

My brothers and sisters, President Biden and his administration continue to unashamedly stand for and support policies encouraging maximum and unrestricted abortion – which is the intentional killing of innocent, unborn children. Shame on this country and its leaders!
Unborn babies are made in the image and likeness of God (see Genesis 1:26-27), and are known by God individually before they are even formed in their mothers’ wombs (see Psalm 139:13-16 and Jeremiah 1:5).
It is unbelievable to this writer that instead of doing everything possible to facilitate pregnancies and helping mothers (and fathers) in need – whether financially, medically and/or through adoption – that the current U.S. federal government considers abortion to be a form of “health care” which “saves lives” and is often stated to be a “human right!”
God have mercy on our nation! We are living in a culture of death. We ignore the goodness of God, His plan for our lives, and our need for a Savior (see Romans 3:23). And by the way, there is nothing about abortion that “saves lives.” In fact, the very intent of performing an elective abortion is to terminate a human life – not to save it or protect it.
Abortion is a medical procedure that is designed to be 100% fatal to the mother’s unborn baby. How can elective abortion be considered HEALTH CARE? Such assertions are gross intellectual dishonesty and evil all rolled together.
Remember, the evil one comes to steal, kill and destroy (see John 10:10) – and too many are perfectly willing to rationalize the “need” for abortion and participate in the evil one’s plans!
What is needed is for our children to be raised in the fear (reverence) of God (see Psalm 34:8-11), to attend church, and to learn about the truth and importance of having a biblical worldview!
Pray! Pray for the conviction of hearts so that life would become cherished again; that doctors would no longer find it acceptable to perform elective abortions; and that mothers, fathers, families, churches and pro-life NGOs, and elected or appointed government officials at all levels would know the heart of God and refrain from abortion! I ask this in the name of Jesus! Amen.
Here are the above-referenced scriptures:
Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV)
“Then God said, ‘[l]et Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Psalm 139:13-16 (NLT)
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank [Y]ou for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in [Y]our book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”
Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”.
Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”.
John 10:10 (NKJV)
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
Psalm 34:8-11 (NKJV)
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; [b]lessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; [b]ut those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
