Having A Vision With Expectation

The word of God tells us:

Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision the people perish.

Going into the New Year I believe this is the time and the hour that we have to have a vision on what God has for his children. Without one we perish. A vision gives us hope to see people saved, healed, restored and to see revival in the land. People are dying and struggling all around us.

This is a year where we need to get on our knees to seek his face and pray. Write down your vision and expect God to move – making a difference in people’s lives, reaching out to the needy, and being there for the hurting.

Habakkuk 2:2 Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets the he may run that read it.

Write down your vision.  Read it.  Declare it.  Believe it.  And you will see the glory of God.

When you have a vision, you must believe and expect God to bring it forth. Expectations are beliefs that spring up from a person’s thought process. What are your thoughts of your vision? Are they thoughts of hope, doubt, unbelief? The bible encourages us to trust in the Lord and to expect good things from him.

Psalm 62:5 My soul waits thou only upon God for my expectation is from him.

When based on God’s word, our expectations and vision will never fail to be met. The Lord’s promises are trustworthy.

Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy.

God’s word revives the soul. He loves; he is faithful; he desires that all would come to him.

2 Chronicles 7:14-15 If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from there wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

My vision is that I will see the hand of God move in people’s lives. With prayer, seeking his face, and being humble with a contrite spirit, I will see God’s glory!

Speak words of life on your vision.

Proverbs 15:4 The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life.

When God spoke from the beginning he said let there be light and there was light (Genesis 1:3), He spoke life into existence and it became. The same for us when we speak out the word of God over our vision – it will come into existence.

Habakkuk 2:3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time, it hastens to the end, it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it, it will surely come, it will not delay.

Be blessed and Encouraged by the word of God
