Israel’s military chief of staff says they will “learn lessons” from the tragic killing of 21 IDF soldiers Monday. As the nation mourned, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised Israel would not stop short of total victory over Hamas. Reports abound concerning deals involving another fighting pause and hostage release. A U.S. security official said talks are “sober and serious.” One of Israel’s top spokesmen told CBN News today that time is running out for the hostages, and he called on allies around the world to press the Red Cross and national governments to demand their unconditional release.
