My friend Skip Saran has had a horrible accident. His Dear Wife Wilma, posted on Facebook this urgent prayer need for Skip. Wilma wanted me to ask you all to pray for the healing of her hubby. I got to know this wonderful Christian couple when I filled in for Pastor Eddie at Christian Fellowship in Albuquerque for 3 weeks. Skip and Wilma are part of the church’s leadership team. They both have such super hearts for Jesus and all people. Please join me and Sharon for the healing of Skip and peace and comfort for Wilma and the entire family.

He’s out of surgery and the surgeon said what she thinks happened is because his broken ribs aren’t attached that instead of expanding when breathing, they collapse inward drawing air in through the tube they inserted the first time to drain the blood and air which is also on his left side. The pressure also caused one of the stitches to rip through some of his diaphragm. They doubled up on the repair and inserted another tube in the center of his chest. He should be good to go for his spine surgery later today. He’s still in critical but not quite life threatening mode.

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your injured servant Skip, and give your power of healing to those who minister to his needs, that he may be strengthened in his weakness and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
