My goodness! I have never seen anybody more thrilled than Eddilu Brown when she was baptized years ago at FBC in Reserve, NM. FGGAM was holding Revival services there. Her entire family came to be with her. I have to look at this picture now and then, as it inspires me to continue on. In the 11 years as serving as a circuit preacher in Reserve, I was blessed to baptize more than a few souls. Another baptism that is in my memory is when I baptized a man named Tony in the back of a car repair business in Albuquerque. I still minister to Tony to this day. God has called me to meet people where they are at!
I have written and preached about the lack of baptisims for years. I have sought out my mentors on why the lack of baptisims in America. I know of Churches that not have baptized anyone for over 6 years! Many Churches are not reaching our young people, the future of the American Church. Christ not only commands believers to get baptized, baptism is also a gift he graciously gives for our benefit and blessing. Here then are three reasons to get baptized: (1) to obey Christ’s command, (2) to publicly profess faith in Christ, and (3) to formally commit yourself to Christ and his people.
I was writing another story when I came upon an article by Griffin Paul Jackson, I found it to be very interesting. I share that message with you below. I love to read and do research on the condition of the America Church. My mentor, Pastor Don Kimbro, made a ‘shout out’ about the lack of baptisims years ago, I should say many shouts out! Ha! Many of them posted here at FGGAM. Please pray for Pastor Don, he has stage 4 cancer. I talked with him and his precious bride Dorothy yesterday. Don has just completed a round of radiation treatments. Please, please, keep these precious servants in your prayers.
America is failing to raise up godly people. We have allowed Satan to rip apart families, the fabric of America. The Church has failed big time in carry out The The Great Commission . You have to be blind not to see this failure. Griffin Paul Jackson states: I think one thing we could do is better educate people about baptism. It’s incredibly theologically rich, and most people don’t know why. It’s a very beautiful picture and physical sign of grace, but it’s mostly misunderstood. Why would people get baptized if they don’t know what it’s for? Tradition alone isn’t, and shouldn’t be, the motivation. More Here

One time a little boy asked the Pastor why he preached about baptism so much, the Pastor said, “I will preach on it until the folks GET IT.”
And what happened to preaching on the Ten Commandments? Are they even posted in your Church? In your home?
Is your Church full of young people?
Is your Church growing? If not, why not?
Meet people where they are at, hit the streets and carry out The Great Commission, it is a command from JESUS! Not a suggestion! Leave your walls! JESUS walked!
