Comparison is the thief of joy.
Once we start comparing ourselves or our lives to that of others, we immediately lose our joy. Its a form of dissatisfaction with what God has already provided us
But once we align our spirit with Christ’s, we’ll then begin to see our insecure thoughts fade, like a dim light in the rear view mirror.
“Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.”
2 Corinthians 10:12

Comparison breeds anxiety. And We’d do well to remember we are all fearfully and wonderfully made, uniquely and on purpose.
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
Psalm 139:14
Jealousy and comparison go hand-in- hand and can lead to a chaotic life.
“Where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.”
James 3:16
Having the spirit of jealousy shows that you are not satisfied with what God has given you and you do not appreciate His gifts.
We should be grateful with what we have, without coveting people’s things.
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
Exodus 20:17
Coveting can also make your prayer life unfruitful. This will be detrimental to your spiritual walk!
We are made special by God. He created us in his image and we’re perfect!
