Minority Report

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19:24‭-‬25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

[24] And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” [25] When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”

The Lord has a way of showing us the condition of our hearts with one illustration.

A camel squeezing in through the eye of a needle. By our standards, impossible.

This must have been so disappointing to hear. Such a discouraging revelation from Jesus.

What are we to do?

His Disciples were astonished, amazed and surprised by these words.

If Jesus was the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world then why would so many not believe?

The Disciples ask a great question. A question that is asked to this day.

So who is it that can be saved?

Jesus talks about the eye of the needle and the camel right after the rich young ruler walked away from the opportunity to accept Salvation, Eternal Life and a fellowship with Jeus Christ.

This young ruler had it all but one thing.

He had the Glory of Heaven standing in front of him with an offer that should not be refused!

But he wasn’t able to fully commit.

His heart wasn’t willing to devote his entire life to the Service of the Lord Jesus Christ!

So who can be saved?

In the Parable of the Sower Jesus is teaching about the different types of hearts.

He is teaching them about the condition of hearts.

He pulls His Disciples and explains the parable.

Let me ask a question.

What type of heart will you encounter today?

Jesus explains the 4 types of hearts.

The Wayward

The Stony

The seed among thorns.

The Good soil.

Jesus preached from a boat with a multitude of people.

His Words are not for the rich or poor.

His Salvation isn’t for men or women.

Worldly status makes no impression in Heaven.

Nationality, religiosity or skin color will never be a prerequisite to have an invitation to the Banquet at God’s Table!

God looks at the heart of man.

‭‭I Samuel 16:7 NKJV‬‬

[7] But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

As He speaks, He speaks to only 4 different groups of hearts.

That’s it!

Here is a Christian minority report.

I want you to think about this.

How many soils are there?

There’s 4.

How many are Good Ground, Good Soil?

Only 1.

So what percent of people will actually take God’s Word and cherish it!

How many will be obedient and receptive to it. Allowing it to change their hearts, their minds and even their Eternal Destiny! Only 25%!

So out of 100 people only 25 will submit to the love and mercy of God!

Only a quarter will believe, repent, and follow.

Think about that!

Only a small minority of people that are exposed to the truth will accept it.

Are you in the minority?

Have you allowed the Seed of Truth nestle into the inner parts of your heart!

If you’re in the Minority, what should you do with the seed?

We sow!

Here is a quote from Charles Spurgeon.

He says;

“No one in hell can say I went to Christ and He rejected me”.

How will the other 75% of souls know about this saving Grace!

How will they know there is a Savior that will accept and take their filthy rags and exchange it for cleansed robes of honor and a Crown of Life!

So if the Lord never rejects anyone that comes to Him in humility who is it that sows the seeds of faith!

It has to be the Minority! It is the 25%! The 1 in 4!

Are you in the minority?

The Lord will never force anyone to accept His Mercy, but His Mercy is available to every softened heart that is willing to allow the seed of Faith to grow.

He will cultivate it. He will shower it with the Truth Of His Word. The seed will start to sprout and the weeds that try to choke it, He will pluck.

Good ground has the mark of conviction of sin.

The reason we have the conviction of sin is because we start to become more sensitive to not only sin but the Holy Spirit.

When we look and confess our sins to Jesus something happens in our souls.

Our hearts become good fertile ground because we get to experience the mercy of God through that confession!

There’s something about the Word of God that humbles us.

Are you the type of heart that will flourish and fruit!

Are you the type of heart that will grow into the trust and knowledge of His Word?

Will you believe every Word?

Will you trust His Word?

Will you accept His ways and follow them?

Are you one of the few! Are you the minority!

Go out today with a desire to know Jesus more than you have ever known Him before.

Let your guard down, submit for a moment to let Him till your heart.

Allow Him to prepare it.

Ask Him to water it. Let Him be the nourishment that you require to grow in Him.

Think about this.

Good Soil is softened to hear and receive.

Good Soil has all the right things for it to grow.

Good Soil has no stones in it to prevent the roots from growing.

Good Soil has no weeds or thorns to choke it out.

Don’t be afraid of the weeding and trimming He will do in your life. Through that weeding and trimming comes growth.

It will be healthy to your bones and life to your Soul!

Let His light shine on you and through to be the guide in the darkness.

Ask to see the deeper things.

Then walk in the courage and confidence producing the fruit of Heaven so others can glean from what the Lord has done!

Think about this today.

Yes only 25% of hearts accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior.

Only 1 in 4 submit themselves to a life in service to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Which also means that only 25% have the Words to Salvation to the lost souls.

But there is an even smaller minority, and this minority is in the Church.

Less than half of the 25% will go and evangelize about the Lord of Glory.

Less than half of the 25% are actually on a mission to sow the seed of Salvation found in Jesus Christ.

Are you a minority of a minority?

There is a small set of people that will accept the Truth of God’s Word.

Imagine for a moment!

What would the world look like if that whole 25%, not just a small portion, but the 25% would go and Preach the Gospel.

Yes it would only be 1 in 4 that would accept.

But then what if that 1 in 4 would go and produce another 25%! Then another and another!

Be Good, prepared and ready soil today!

We may be the Minority of the World but we have the whole of Heaven behind us!

‭‭

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

‭‭Romans 8:31 NKJV‬‬
