The Jerusalem Post and CNN report this morning that Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz and Interior Minister Moshe Arbel have issued a joint statement advising that UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese will be denied entry into Israel. The restriction was established because of Albanese’s rejection of French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent remarks asserting that Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack upon Israel was the “largest anti-Semitic massacre of the 21st century.”
Here is Albanese’s social media comment:
“The ‘largest anti-Semitic massacre of our century’? No, Mr. Macron. The victims of October 7 were not killed because of their Judaism, but in response to Israel’s oppression. France and the international community did nothing to prevent it. My respects to the victims…”.

My brothers and sisters, without belaboring the point, and as if more evidence was required to show that the United Nations is not only a compromised and ineffective agency, this comment shows just how horribly divided and ineffectual it is.
In fact, much of the globe, and especially right here in the United States, many persons would rather spin the attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023 as anything – anything – other than antisemitism, when it is clear that Israel’s foes, including Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, have articulated for decades that Israel must be destroyed (read: removed from the face of the earth).
As is always the case, the casualty of our times is THE TRUTH!
