Newsmax reports that the United States and the United Kingdom (Britain) struck 36 Houthi targets in Yemen yesterday (2/3/2024) in a second wave of assaults meant to further disable Iran-backed groups that have relentlessly attacked American and international interests in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war.
The U.S. Department of Defense indicated that the strikes targeted the Houthis’ deeply-buried weapons storage facilities, missile systems and launchers, air defense systems, radars and helicopters.
The Houthis are conducting almost daily missile or drone attacks against commercial and military ships transiting the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, and they have made it clear that they have no intention of scaling back their campaign despite pressure from the American and British campaign.
According to a Houthi official, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, “military operations against Israel will continue until the crimes of genocide in Gaza are stopped and the siege on its residents is lifted, no matter the sacrifices it costs us.”
Following Friday’s U.S. and U.K. strikes in Iraq and Syria, Iraqi officials have attempted to rein in the militias, while also condemning U.S. retaliatory strikes as a violation of Iraqi sovereignty and calling for an exit of the 2,500 U.S. troops who are in the country as part of an international coalition to fight the Islamic State group.

Herein lies the issue that Houthi, Hamas, Hezbollah and other Iranian-sponsored terrorist organizations live within a culture of death, teaching all, even children, that to die for the cause of destroying others is glorious, instead of cherishing life and seeing each other as persons created in the image of God – with every single life having a God-given purpose.
Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV)
“Then God said, ‘[l]et Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NKJV)
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”
Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; [w]ho put darkness for light, and light for darkness; [w]ho put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
