The Associated Press (“AP News”) reports that today (3/11/2024) marks 13 years since a massive earthquake and tsunami hit Japan’s northern coasts, killing nearly 20,000 persons and destroying the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck coastal Japan, generating a tsunami that battered northern coastal towns in Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures. The tsunami, which topped 50 feet in some areas, slammed into the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant – destroying its power supply and fuel cooling systems, and causing meltdowns at Reactor Nos. 1, 2 and 3. Hydrogen explosions caused massive radiation leaks and contamination in the area.
On-site radioactive-contaminated water is currently being treated, diluted with seawater, and stored in tanks prior to being released into the ocean. The discharges began last August (2023) and so far, sampling results have reportedly met international safety measures, although there are continuing protests by local fishermen and neighboring countries, including China.

FGGAM previously reported about Japan’s plan to discharge nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean on on July 4, 2023. This article may be read HERE.
My brothers and sisters, the Fukushima disaster, as with the former Soviet Union’s Chernobyl nuclear reactor meltdown and explosion on April 26, 1986…
…and the ongoing Russian capture and less-than-inspiring control over Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant…
…demonstrate the need for continual, honest and absolute control and oversight of all nuclear facilities.
Nuclear energy is a powerful and highly-efficient blessing when treated with the respect it deserves; however, man’s sinful heart and territorial nature bring incredible risks along with this source of energy. As if more evidence were needed, this represents another example of why the love, wisdom and integrity found only in Jesus is so very essential!
Some scripture to consider:
1 Corinthians 10:24 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)
“Let no one then seek his own good and advantage and profit, but [rather] each one of the other [let him seek the welfare of his neighbor].”
Proverbs 2:6-8 (NLT)
“For the Lord grants wisdom! From [H]is mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to [H]im.”
Proverbs 3:7 (NKJV)
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; [f]ear the Lord and depart from evil.”
Proverbs 28:26 (NKJV)
“He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, [b]ut whoever walks wisely will be delivered.”
Galatians 5:13-15 (NKJV)
“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ‘[y]ou shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
