Pastor Dewey Moede, “I have come to comfort the inflicted and inflict the comfortable.”
Having great respect for Law Enforcement is in my blood! It hurts me to report this news. BUT! We must be aware and demand changes at APD! Gotta get rid of the ‘bad apples.’ Do not let a handful spoil the whole bunch! Root out the bad ones. All this hurts Albuquerque in so many ways. I will always support Law Enforcement. I hurts me so much when a few do such damage to their departments! I am sick to my stomach today.
Only if people would know how much it hurts me to write news like this……..I weep….but we must know the truth and then help change the system.
Sharon and I are praying over this very sad situation.
You may moan and groan about the media….but I am thankful for our local media and the coverage of the corruption in the Albuquerque Police Department! We would not know what we now know without the efforts of our local media! I watched the KOB TV news report and it made me sick! KOB news goes deep into this evil……….
It made me sick in the video when APD officer Honorio Alba Jr. bragged about all the money he was making to a guy who he had just arrested!!!!!!!
It is beyond time for a shake up! I had a New Mexico Mayor tell me his department has been getting applications over the years from members of APD because of all the corruption in the department. It seems to me the old saying of ‘The fox guarding the hen house’ fits APD. It is beyond time the the citizens of Albuquerque demand a CLEAN UP of APD ADMINISTRATION!! When I talk to officers about this, they just get a very sad look on their faces. This DWI corruption has really hurt the reputation of the department!
Will we the people, the taxpayers, ever know how deep this evil runs?
KOB NEWS:
We are learning more about one of the hundreds of recently dismissed APD DWI cases. It’s an important one because it involved a district court employee who blew the whistle on one of the Albuquerque officers involved in an alleged scheme.
KOB TV: Video: The arrest that sparked allegations of corruption within APD’s DWI unit
Only if the citizens of Albuquerque would be concerned about the condition of city government as they are about the basketball Lobos!
By the way……anyone heard from Mayor Keller? The Mayor shows up at a lot of crime scenes to be on TV and talk to the media….where is he at now?
What does the Bible say about corruption?
Just 4% of Americans have a Biblical Worldview. Just 37% of Pastors in America have a Biblical Worldview! Do you not see the destruction of our country? The downfall of the Christian Church? Does your Pastor ever teach on the Ten Commandments? Basic Christianity? Does your Church carry out The Great Commission? How many baptisims has your Church officiated in the last 2 years? Is your Church ‘raising up’ mature Christians?
The following is from Focus on the Family:
A Biblical Worldview is based on the infallible Word of God. When you believe the Bible is entirely true, then you allow it to be the foundation of everything you say and do. That means, for instance, you take seriously the mandate in Romans 13 to honor the governing authorities by researching the candidates and issues, making voting a priority.
Do you have a biblical worldview? Answer the following questions, based on claims found in the Bible and which George Barna used in his survey:
- Do absolute moral truths exist?
- Is absolute truth defined by the Bible?
- Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life?
- Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule it today?
- Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned?
- Is Satan real?
- Does a Christian have a responsibility to share his or her faith in Christ with other people?
- Is the Bible accurate in all of its teachings?
Did you answer yes to these? Only 9 percent of “born- again” believers did. But what’s more important than your yes to these questions is whether your life shows it. Granted, we are all sinners and fall short, but most of our gut reactions will reflect what we deep-down, honest-to-goodness believe to be real and true.
