Maundy Thursday… Jesus Final Passover

Maundy Thursday… Jesus Final Passover

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Jesus had his last supper with his apostles the day before Good Friday known as Maundy Thursday. Jesus washed their feet, and they had communion together. He told them that one of them would betray him. I ponder this morning what that all would have been like. I love the humility Jesus showed by washing the apostles’ feet knowing that one of them would betray him. (Matthew 26)

What an example Jesus is to us today. When people betray me or hurt me, I tend to withdraw. Not Jesus, he washed their feet. Awe to be more like him.

As we go through our day today, let’s continue to press into being more like Jesus. Let’s show compassion and humility to those that have hurt or want to hurt us. We can be the example knowing that Jesus will always have the final say.

Let’s Pray Psalm 46 this morning:

Father, thank you that you tell us be still and know that you are God. You oh God are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Be kind today and show some love to a world that is in need of it, Jesus style.
