New Mexico loses big time on this. Mr. Baca did a great work for the people of New Mexico. It is a huge blow to the GOP. I have also posted the news about the latest GOP loss in D.C. Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., who frequently defied his own party and announced he will not seek reelection. See post below.

FGGAM received the following news release from the NM GOP.

BELEN— Senate Republican Leader, Senator Greg Baca (R-Belen), announced he will not be seeking reelection to the State Senate in District 29.

Senator Baca issued the following statement:

“After much deliberation and prayer, and conversations with my family, I am announcing today that I will not be running for reelection to the State Senate. It is clear to me that the greatest good I can do for the people of my community and the State of New Mexico does not lie in seeking another term in the legislature.”

“Though this announcement may come as a shock to some, careful observers of the progressive plan to pit two Hispanic Republicans against each other through redistricting may have seen this coming. In short, I refuse to allow the radical left to pit brother against brother.”

“Although I am proud of what we have accomplished, my work is not done. Our state has a bright future ahead and our momentum in the State Senate is evidence of that. A new day for New Mexico is coming, and as leader of the Senate Republican Caucus, a small business owner, and husband and father, I will do everything I can to see that day become a reality.”

“To the voters of District 29, thank you for your confidence and support. To my Republican colleagues in the Senate, thank you for the honor of serving as your leader. This has been the opportunity and privilege of a lifetime that I will never forget.”

Santa Fe New Mexican Reports: Greg Baca blamed new Senate district boundaries that would pit him against Sen. Joshua Sanchez, R-Bosque, for his decision not to run in Senate District 29. House Minority Leader Ryan Lane said he was leaving the Legislature to spend more time with his family. Read more

If your a member of the GOP, I would be very concerned about the future of your party in New Mexico. It is way beyond time for new leadership in the NM GOP. What are you waiting for people? You could not even defeat the worst governor ever! My goodness! I am sorry Mr. Baca, but I disagree with you that New Mexico has a bright future, it God’s kills babies, it is near the bottom in child well-being, it is rated one of the worst places to raise a family. Lets be real here and not political. PS! Why does CYFD still exist? It seems to me that New Mexico thrives dysfunction! BOTH PARTIES! HELLO???

The GOP needs to carry out its own great commission, building bridges of love and trust with the people of New Mexico.

Sharon and I just finished a Great Commission trip to Arizona, making personal contact with 400 or more people. Two in-home visits. We share the love of JESIS! NOT messy politics, which is the playground of Satan. When politics came up, the vast majority do not trust the DEMS or GOP to run our country. We had more than a few that said they will write on their ballot ‘none of the above’ on the Presidential election. Remember, just 4% of Americans have a Biblical Worldview. Ungodliness runs rampant in America. No matter who wins the Presidential race, chaos will not only remain, but increase. America needs JESUS, not politics.

Why can’t America field a strong third party? Politics in America is ran by MONEY AND HATE, not the everyday people like me and you.
