In Genesis he’s Jehovah Jireh, meaning “the Lord will provide.”
“So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
Genesis 22:14
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one single hour to your life?
Matthew 6:26&27
God’s children are more valuable to God than the birds. If God feeds the birds, He will also feed those who are of greater worth than birds. We must trust God to provide what we need, exactly when we need it!
Sometimes, Anxiety can show a lack of trust in God. It shows that we don’t think our Father knows our needs.
Anxiety shows that we trust in earthly things and not in God 100%.
So, try not to be anxious because the world has nothing eternal to offer you.
Plus, God knows your needs before you ever do, and he’s already prepared.
We all suffer from anxiety from time-to-time, but staying there and camping out there is not good. Don’t plant roots there. It’s to hard to move away from that.
My goal here is to encourage you to not worry about these tough times we’re facing.
Be prepared, safe, careful and then pray.
And then pray again. Seeking God in all these matters.
