If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Matthew 6:14-15

Unforgiveness is detrimental to everyone, regardless of our faith. And it’s one major area of sin that prevents our healing.

“Forgiveness is not only a command but also a condition for receiving God’s forgiveness. Holding onto unforgiveness prevents us from experiencing the fullness of God’s mercy and grace.

Unforgiveness can often prevents our healing because it comes between us and God and with it, comes pride that prevents our sins from being forgiven.

We need to forgive those who hurt us, so that we can receive our healing.”

You see, Unforgiveness is too heavy a burden to carry. It will hinder your spiritual growth. It’s imperative you take this sin to God and allow him to heal your heart.

Not only will unforgiveness go into your relationships with you, you’ll also pass it on to your children and grandchildren.

When you’re wrapped up and obsessed with the person you’re angry at, that will rob you of this present moment.

Unfortunately, that’s the great ploy of Satan.

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 4:32

We could actually be holding on to unforgiveness without even realizing it.

Unforgiveness can begin a root of bitterness in your heart that you may not even be aware of.

Left unchecked, it becomes like a cancer.  Growing rapidly!

So, if you’re feeling angry, depressed, bitter, anxious or anything else that’s having a negative effect on your life physically or spiritually or you have a hindered prayer life, take it to God immediately.

There is so much freedom in that!

Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Colossians  3:13

Remember, forgiveness is not about forgetting what somebody did to us or minimizing the hurt you have experienced. It is leaving that hurt in God‘s hands, because “vengeance is his.”

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

Romans 12:19

Many Blessing’s,

Connie
