Are You The Light In The City?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I tease my grandsons that their grandmother and her daughters are city girls. We grew up in the city. They moved to the country a short distance away. Although our city may be a smaller city, we are still a city.
Every morning, I try to remember to pray for my city. I remind God where I am at, like he doesn’t already know. I want God to move in my city. I tell him these are my people. My people are your people or is it his people, my people? Either way let’s pray for our town or city. Let’s pray for all God’s beautiful people.
Father, thank you for our city. We pray today for every leader, every person living within our city limits. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem you surround our city, oh God.
Father, we pray you would bless our city. Expose every darkness that needs to be exposed. We pray that our city will be a safe place for all people. We pray evil will be far from this city, because of the God we serve.
Father, we pray our city will prosper. Bless our businesses, bless our children, bless our grandchildren. Bless all the works of the people’s hands inside this city. (Psalm 90:17) Father, bless our schools, bless our daycares, bless our churches, bless our hospitals, bless our clinics, bless all the people within our city, we pray in agreement this morning.
Father, from Presque Isle (name your town or city) we declare this is our best year yet! Father, we declare your Word will go forth in power over the airwaves of our city. We pray for peace within our city. We declare evil will be far, far from our city. We pray a hedge of protection around our city and all within it. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Wherever you live today claim that land, claim that place for God. Believe for your town or city and don’t give up praying. Declare breakthrough as you walk or drive through your city or town today.
