Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Is anything too hard for the Lord? The Bible teaches that we can trust God because nothing is too difficult for Him.
But sometimes trusting Him completely can be tough, especially when things are going wrong.
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we trust in the name of the Lord our God”
Psalm 20:7
Life is very unpredictable. There are ups and downs along our journey here on earth. We may have good intentions of trusting in the Lord and when times are good, that can be easy.
But, let something difficult happen and we fall apart and often times question God.
(I did this recently.)
Trusting God is not about ignoring our reality nor is it pretending that everything is OK when its obviously not.
Trusting God is living a life of belief, obedience and faith in Christ, even when it’s hard to understand.
It’s important to remember that even when things change , Scripture tells us God does not. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and therefore is worthy of your trust, hope and confidence.
“Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!” Then this message came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?”
Jeremiah 32:17, 26&27
Spending alone time with and getting to know God personally, should start now. If you wait until your life is a wreck to spend time with him, it’s going to be difficult.
It’s important to establish a consistent relationship with the Lord. And there’s no time like the present.
We have to trust in God alone. The money, the house, the car, the job, the “person” those are nice things and blessings from the Lord often times. But we cannot trust in those things to give us joy or peace. Our trust must be in the Lord alone.
And lastly, never believe that God is not listening to you. He will never neglect you! He promises that He is always hearing our prayers and most importantly, he’s responding.
When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Psalm 34:17
“Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him”
Psalm 2:12
My prayer today, is that you trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.
Many blessings,
Connie
