Conservative Christians praise Trump’s anti-abortion record but say he’s stopped short of the goal

Brent Leatherwood who leads the Southern Baptist Convention’s political arm stated: "Candidates who profess the anti-abortion views of the voters they’re wooing “should be articulating a robust vision for establishing a true culture of life where babies are saved, mothers are served, and families are supported,” he said. “Anything short of that is not a serious attempt to court pro-life voters.”

FGGAM Photo taken years ago from outside the Roundhouse in Santa Fe. This was at a rally lead by Franklin Graham. A termendous day in New Mexico where so many came to share their love for God and His babies and all that is biblical.

Are you going to stand in the gap for God’s babies?

What does the Bible say about standing in the gap?  Ezekiel 22:30 “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

Standing in the gap is the call “to expose oneself for the protection of something.” This means you take the position on the battlefield! Amen!

Are you on the battlefield for God’s babies? Way too many Pastors and congregants are silent on the killing of God’s babies! SHAME!

What does the Bible say about abortion? Simply put, abortion is murder. It is the killing of a human being created in the image of God.

WASHINGTON (AP) — For conservative, anti-abortion Christians, former President Donald Trump delivered in four years what no other Republican before him had been able to do: A conservative majority U.S. Supreme Court that would go on to overturn Roe v. Wade.

With abortion rights now controlled by each state, rather than legalized nationwide by the 1973 court ruling, Trump made clear Monday that he would not be leading the push for a federal abortion ban as he vies for his second term in the Oval Office. Some anti-abortion religious leaders criticized his approach, while others gave thanks for Trump’s past anti-abortion wins and vowed to keep pressing for federal restrictions.

“Roe is done. The opportunity to protect life is at hand,” Brent Leatherwood, who leads the Southern Baptist Convention’s political arm, said in a statement.

Candidates who profess the anti-abortion views of the voters they’re wooing “should be articulating a robust vision for establishing a true culture of life where babies are saved, mothers are served, and families are supported,” he said. “Anything short of that is not a serious attempt to court pro-life voters.”

The Trump campaign did not respond to The Associated Press’ request for comment. But in a video posted Monday on his Truth Social site, Trump backed the patchwork of state abortion laws that followed the 2022 Supreme Court decision upending federal abortion protections. Trump took credit for the outcome, a historic ruling celebrated by pro-lifers.

“Many states will be different. Many will have a different number of weeks or some will have more conservative than others and that’s what they will be,” Trump said. “At the end of the day it’s all about will of the people.” The Rest of The Story Here

Few see Biden or Trump as especially religious

It was spoken over me many years ago by evangelist Kathy Maqsood that I was to be a Watchman on the Wall. This took place at a Time to Revive Revival in Ashville N.C. Do you know your calling from God?

From Got Questions

Watchmen in the Bible were guards responsible for protecting towns and military installations from surprise enemy attacks and other potential dangers. Ancient Israelite cities often stationed watchmen on high walls or in watchtowers. Their job was to keep watch and warn the townspeople of impending threats.

The Hebrew word translated “watchman” means “one who looks out,” “one who spies,” or “one who watches.” Sometimes watchmen were scouts who looked out for approaching friends as well as enemies.

There are many references to watchmen who kept an eye out for physical threats in the Bible: “Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came and said, ‘I see a company.’ And Joram said, ‘Take a horseman and send to meet them, and let him say, “Is it peace?”’” (2 Kings 9:17, ESV).

Watchmen safeguarded fields and vineyards during harvest time (Isaiah 5:1–2Matthew 21:33Mark 12:1) and acted as sentinels who announced the start of a new day (Psalm 130:6Isaiah 21:11–12).

The Bible also refers to watchmen in a spiritual sense. God appointed prophets as spiritual watchmen over the souls of His people: “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me” (Ezekiel 33:7; also Hosea 9:8). More Here
