Drum Roll Please…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I listened again this morning to the winning moments of a competition that the freshmen at our local high school won in their participation in the battle of the bands. I remember their first practice and the joy they felt when their class was announced winner. Priceless…
These kids worked hard at practicing, and I kept telling them the importance of being in unity and the power of prayer. We prayed every practice, and I told them what God’s Word said. I must admit their music choice was far from this grandmother’s taste, but I wanted them to know God and I had the practice space. Together, we were all in, including their parents.
I kept reminding them of what God’s Word said about unity. I told them not to take my Word for it, read it for themselves and they believed. I was blessed the morning of the competition to find they come up with a name for their band in which they called themselves 7 United.
Psalm 133 tells us How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life for evermore. Wherever there is unity God commands a blessing. It’s just the way it is. I never said it, God did.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for your Word. This morning, we pray for all the beautiful people you loved enough to die for. (John 3:16) That would be everybody.
Father, thank you for opportunities to share your Word and show your love to the world. Thank you for creative ways to bring your message to the next generation and generations to come.
Father, Proverbs 10:22 tells us that the blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Thank you for that blessing on our lives and families today. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Pray, stay in unity and watch God’s blessing flow.
