Contemplating Baptism? Step Out Of The Old And Step Into The New

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Yesterday those winds blew in two of my grandbabies. We enjoyed our evening together and this morning in the prayer room my granddaughter filled me in about her friend on YouTube. Her name is Adley. When she was eight years old, Adley was baptized. Eight is one of my favorite numbers because it means new beginnings. We watched as they celebrated Adley’s baptism, her new beginning in Christ. We discussed the importance of being baptized.

Today, if you haven’t been baptized and you want to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized in water, step out and then step in to your new beginning. As a young girl I was baptized in the Aroostook River. As an adult I wanted to do it again with my family and was baptized in a tank at a local church. Ask God to set it up for you today and make your public declaration of faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The old has gone and the new has come. Amen? Amen.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for making all things new in our lives. Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. (Colossians 2:12-14)

Father, thank you for new beginnings. Today may many that are contemplating being baptized step on out and step into the waters of baptism. Leaving the old behind and embracing the new. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Seek him today.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
