Ray stated that “It shows the love of JESUS, so much love for all.” Ray added, “JESUS mission is to love all and to encourage us to love all and to share that love and His Word with the world.” I take Ray’s words to heart, he is a retired doctor, great neighbor, has a great testimony, and he so much loves JESUS and people.
Awhile back I had a talk on the phone with my friend Tom. Tom is such a loving man. I trust him so much. He came to our help years ago when FGGAM was just getting started. Tom has encouraged me and Sharon to watch the show.
So Sharon I watched The Chosen late yesterday. I saw three episodes and Sharon watched the entire first season. What jumped out at me is that the show showed right up front the love of JESUS for all people. I loved the part where he was teaching children. Too many Christians HATE. I am praying about going off of Facebook because of it. The hate and nonsense is increasing from people who claim to be Christian. Too many have gotten snarky and make fun of people. NOT JESUS LIKE! Also the ego’s and politics of many has become a trademark of too many Christians. This is not a good witness at all. If you want to help people come to JESUS, you have to plant seeds, build a bridge of love and trust. Not to spew ugly. Politics is not going to get you anywhere.
We live in a America and world where hate rules, Christianity is falling in the U.S. Church attendance continues to decrease. Church Attendance in U.S. Continues to Decline. Great Commission Failure. Many in the country are turned off by the Church. Big money, big buildings, scandals in to many Churches, and Pastors endorsing evil politicians. Politics is the playground of Satan. Just 4 % of Americans have a Biblical Worldview and just 37% of Pastors have a Biblical Worldview. DO YOU NOT SEE THE FAILURE????????
On our latest Great Commission trip, which was to Arizona, in the Phoenix and Sedona area, we found that most people did not go to Church. We came in contact with so many people. Two in-home visits. Maybe nearly 400 people all together? The American Church needs to leave its walls and hit the streets and byways and talk with people and share the love of JESUS! GLORY! Maybe The Chosen will motivate Christians to carry out The Great Commission. YOU HAVE TO RELATE WITH ALL PEOPLE! Sharon and I are seeing the downfall of the American Church continue as we travel. It breaks our hearts. Not enough Christians planting seeds for JESUS, the workers are few. I really beleive that many Christians do not know how to relate to people that do not go to Church.
Do you think JESUS is happy about the American Church? What does He think about all the money in many Churches, while people are on the street and hungry? the homeless? The sick? What about all those big buildings and fancy dancy things inside? What does JESUS think? What about so many empty Churches? Baptisms? Raising up mature Christians? My mentor, the late Pastor Don Kimbro saw all this coming over 5 years ago, the failure of the American Church. Pastor Don Kimbro: Butts, Bucks and Buildings! I was taught well by Pastor Don and the late Pastor Larry Moss. Larry saw this failure coming almost 20 years ago. These two men have helped shape the ministry of FGGAM.
All Christians need to look in ther mirror. When is the last time you shared JESUS with a stranger? When is the last time you picked someone up at their home and took them to Church?
The American Church model is no longer working. Leave your walls and go for JESUS!

An estimated 200 million people worldwide have now watched portions of “The Chosen,” the popular TV series based on the life of Jesus. The show’s executive vice president of distribution and marketing recently shared those numbers with trade publication Variety.
“It took the first four years of the series to reach 100 million people,” said Kyle Young. “And then in the last 15 months, we’ve reached another 100 million people.” He credited that viewership increase to partnerships with streaming services and international distributors.
Whose Watching?
As “The Chosen,” Season 4, continues its theatrical run, the show’s team shared surprising new numbers about who’s watching the popular show about Jesus’ life. Over half of viewers of the Bible-based dramatic series are “either practicing Christians or cultural Christians,” according to Katherine Warnock, the show’s vice president of original content.
To imitate Christ’s desires is to re-order our own—to pattern them on his, where there is a hierarchy. When the Pharisees ask Jesus which is the greatest commandment, he answers clearly: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” In other words: learn to desire these two things above all, and the rest of your desires will fall into place.
Here is what LUKE BURGIS wrote on the Christianity Today back in July of 2021 about ‘The Chosen.’
When Paul writes, “Imitate me as I imitate Christ” (1 Cor 11:1), he is also referring to the imitation of desire. When he writes, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Rom. 12:2), he is talking about the same thing: This world has no models that are worth patterning your life after. If you wish to be saved from this world of sin and death, you need an otherworldly model, and you must find it in Christ, who is able to transform you within through grace.
We become like the things we imitate. And that’s why Christ not only saves us—he also transforms us.
In the imaginative telling of the “backstory” of the first disciples, The Chosen shows the profound tension between worldly and transcendent desires. The ancient Roman world had shaped the disciples’ desires in certain ways, just as the modern world shapes ours. As Jesus becomes their new and primary model of desire, their thin desires begin to fade away in favor of the transcendent purpose he models. The show isn’t just about the transformation of the disciples, it’s about our spiritual transformation, too.
