God bless America
Land that I love
Stand beside her
And guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America
My home, sweet home.
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America
My home, sweet home.
God bless America
My home, sweet home.
We have lived far too well, in America, to actually realize just how far from God we truly are! America used to be good because of the goodness in her churches. But many churches in America have slowly, and quietly, tolerated sin; sadder yet, some have embraced blatant sin. God is waiting for we the church to repent. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent.” (Revelation 3:19)
The problem, even in church, is that we don’t understand what genuine repentance requires. Oh, often we have the right words, but we are far from having the right heart. We may see some form of move toward God in our worship services, but how quickly do we lose that as we dismiss and rush to the local diner to beat the church crowd? In true repentance, business as usual is not possible! If there is no passion (suffering) in your repentance, then where is your repentance?
But, after repentance, what?
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings of eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
This country was founded by believers who were “waiting upon the LORD”, and today, believers are waiting and trusting the same God. It is no accident the eagle is the National Emblem. Can God bless America? Will God bless America, again? Not the way we are right now.
Beloved Church, America needs to be rebuilt by faithful, trusting children of God. It is my belief that the faithful who are “waiting upon the LORD” in repentance with prayerful expectancy are soon to “mount up with wings of eagles—through the night with a light from above.” Pray On!
