On April 29, 2024, FGGAM reported HERE that Israel’s leadership was concerned that the International Criminal Court (“ICC”), headquartered in The Hague, the Netherlands, was considering the issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Well, it appears that the day has arrived.

Today (5/20/2024), The Jerusalem Post reports HERE and HERE that ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan announced that the ICC intends to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges of crimes against humanity for Israel’s conduct in its war against Hamas.  Khan also announced that the ICC would similarly be seeking arrest warrant for Hamas terrorist leaders Ismail Haniye, Yahya Sinwar, and Mohamed Def.

Astoundingly, Prime Minister Netanyahu is the first Israeli leader and the only head of a democratic country ever to face the threat of ICC arrest.  If arrested, he would join the small number of world leaders the ICC has charged, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, and former Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi.

Israeli Justice Minister Yariv Levin called the ICC’s decision “one of the greatest moral disgraces in history,” and stated that “the lowly comparison between Israel’s leaders and the mass murderers leading Hamas are a clear expression of modern antisemitism and hatred of Jews wherever they may be.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu warned today that arrest warrants issued against a democratic state (Israel) would “cast an everlasting mark of shame on the international court.”

The Jerusalem Post also reports HERE that U.S. President Joe Biden has called the ICC’s pursuit of arrest warrants “outrageous,” stating that “there is no equivalence – none – between Israel and Hamas.”  President Biden also stated that “we [the United States] stand with Israel against threats to its security.”

The United States was reportedly quite perturbed about Chief Prosecutor Khan’s use of CNN to announce court business on television instead of through a formal statement.

My brothers and sisters, neither Israel nor the United States is a party to the Rome Statute that governs the ICC and does not believe that it has jurisdiction on issues relating to the Israel-Hamas war.  In fact, it would likely take years to legally execute arrest warrants against high-ranking Israeli officials – if this could even be accomplished without creating a major international incident at the minimum or a world war in the worst case scenario.

What is incredibly disturbing to this writer is that ICC leadership believes it to be sound reasoning, logic and findings-of-the-truth to equate Hamas terrorists with the prime minister of Israel in matters of genocide and crimes against humanity.  This is absolutely outrageous and nonsensical on its face.

The bible informs us that in the face of evil, a lack of repentance, the hardening of hearts, and the resulting depraved mind (see Romans 1:28-29), that mankind will turn from the things of God.  Godly wisdom, sound reasoning and truth are discarded (see Proverbs 3:7 and 1 Corinthians 3:19).

It’s so very sad to observe what is happening to so many persons around the globe – persons who do not know the love and salvation found only in Christ Jesus (see 1 John 4:7-8 and 1 Timothy 2:4-6), and who do not have the blessing of walking daily with the Holy Spirit’s guidance and having the “mind of Christ” (see 1 Corinthians 2:16).

Accordingly, the ‘casualty of our times’ persists, which is the inability (or the lack of desire) to discern truth from the lies of the devil.  I will say it over and over again until the day I pass into glory, “the Truth is a Person, and His name is Jesus! (see John 14:6)”

Here are the above-reference scriptures:

Romans 1:28-29 (Amplified Bible)
“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or consider Him worth knowing [as their Creator], God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do things which are improper and repulsive, until they were filled (permeated, saturated) with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice and mean-spiritedness.”

Proverbs 3:7 (NKJV)
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; [f]ear the Lord and depart from evil.”

1 Corinthians 3:19 (NLT)
“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God.  As the Scriptures say, ‘He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.’”

1 John 4:7-8 (NKJV)
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

1 Timothy 2:4-6 (NKJV)
God Desires All To Be Saved
“[God our Savior] desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.  For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all…”.

1 Corinthians 2:16 (Amplified Bible)
“For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?  But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].”

John 14:6 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to [Thomas], ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
