As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away.
That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:37-40
In the days of Noah, before His coming.
In this passage, Christ is referring to the fact that the world will be just as wicked, evil and depraved as it was during the time of Noah.
People will be living as though nothing major is about to happen. They’ll be getting married and celebrating as if the Lord isn’t about to return for His Church.
We see that happening today, as we speak. Some folks living in such a way that they have no worries of eternity. *They live a life of debauchery (habitual and unrestrained indulgence of lust and sensuality, unholy living, including but not limited to sexual immorality, drunkenness, crude talk, and generally out-of-control behavior) and literally, celebrate their sin. This should not be so.
“For you have given time enough in the past to the doing of the things which the Gentiles delight in—pursuing, as you did, a course of habitual license, debauchery, hard drinking, noisy revelry, drunkenness and unholy image-worship.”
1 Peter 4:3
Debauchery encompasses all that God hates.
This is where God calls those with discernment, visions and prophetic dreams and Words to bring the warnings.
It’s time to repent and make a decision for Christ because just as it was in the days of Noah, once the door to the ark closed, it was too late.
They didn’t seem to care. They continued to live their lives any way they pleased.
They ignored God, and the longer they persisted, the more unsound their reasoning became and the harder it became for them to change. It was to their detriment!
Time is running out.
Whether the Lord returns for his church or should He tarry and call us home, eternity is a long time to be regretful and separated from Our Savior!
Again, this is why we evangelize, not only to the unsaved, but to those who have left the faith seeking their own desires and completely disregarding God’s Word.
We know it’s inevitable, as many Old Testament prophecies foretell the return of Messiah.
We should be excited to be living in such prophetic times.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen.
