Let us Pray
Acts 3:19-21 NKJV
[19] Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, [20] and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, [21] whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
Today is the Day of National Prayer.
Let us for one day, come together in one accord.
The theme for this year is:
Lift up the Word-Light up the World.
Heavenly Father,
We come together boldly to the foot of Your Holy Throne in the name of Your Son Jesus.
Father we believe that You still sit on Your Throne of Glory. We believe that there is no one like You. You are the Creator and keeper of all things.
Thank You for the love, grace and mercy that You so selflessly show us through Your Resurrected Son Jesus.
Thank You Jesus for taking up the Cross. Thank You for taking the punishment that we have all deserved, all so we can come together as one to the ear of the Father.
I ask that You forgive us of our sins. The sins we have committed knowing or unknowing. The sins that break your precious heart. I ask that as a nation You give us the courage to repent with a true and contrite heart.
Forgive us for not standing for what is right in Your sight. For taking Your Holy Word and twisting for our own benefit rather than for the benefit of lost souls needing Your healing touch.
We desire to be a Nation that once again proclaims Your name, regardless of the cost. Blot those sins out with the Blood You Son shed. Purify us and make us clean again.
I ask that You refresh us in mind, body and spirit. Not to boast Lord but to do the work You have laid before us.
Refresh us with Your breath. Strengthen our hearts. Let Your followers put aside disagreements, selfishness and anything that comes between us, so we, as a nation, can come in unison to do Your Holy will and to praise You, the King of Glory!
You see the disconnect among Your children. You see the troubles this nation and its people are struggling with.
We ask You Lord that You refresh us in a way that has never been seen before.
Restore our hearts to do what is right and honoring to You.
May Your Gospel be upheld above all things and may Your Light burn so bright in our hearts that darkness has no choice but to flee.
Restore us as a nation and people that wants nothing more than to bring honor and glory to Your name. Through the power of Your Holy Spirit let us be the example that shows the lost souls there is hope.
I ask that we NOT get fooled by the temptations this world offers.
I ask that You keep the evil one for from us.
Let today be the day we return to Your Heart and Your will.
May Your presence ever be known in the heart of this Nation.
We honor, praise, and love You!
We ask this, expecting that You are already at work, in the Holy and Precious name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
