Manhattan Jury Finds Former President Donald J. Trump Guilty of All 34 Counts in ‘Hush Money’ Documents Case

A Manhattan jury has just delivered a verdict in the 'hush money' case brought against former President Donald J. Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Mainstream press outlets have been consistently reporting that a guilty verdict in this case would be, perhaps easily, overturned on appeal; however, even if this is indeed the case, the damage has been done to our legal system, seemingly in coordination with the wishes of the Biden administration.

BREAKING NEWS

REUTERS (and all major news networks) are reporting as a matter of breaking news that a Manhattan jury has just delivered a verdict in the ‘hush money’ case brought against former President Donald J. Trump by Harvard Law School graduate and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The jury found Trump guilty of all 34 charges, asserting that the former president knowingly miscategorized payments to legal counsel as “attorney expenses” to cover up reimbursements for a ‘hush money’ payment made to (then) porn star Stormy Daniels, and that such payments were made in an effort to undermine the integrity of a federal election (the General Election of 2016).

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) was at the trial and following the verdict, stated that:

“Today is a shameful day in American history.  Democrats cheered as they convicted the leader of the opposing party on ridiculous charges, predicated on the testimony of a disbarred, convicted felon.  This was a purely political exercise, not a legal one.  The weaponization of our justice system has been a hallmark of the Biden Administration, and the decision today is further evidence that Democrats will stop at nothing to silence dissent and crush their political opponents.  The American people see this as lawfare, and they know it is wrong—and dangerous.  President Trump will rightfully appeal this absurd verdict—and he WILL WIN!”

REUTERS is maintaining updated reports in this matter HERE.

CNN is also reporting in this matter HERE.

According to Fox News, each of the 34 counts carry a maximum prison sentence of four years.  Trump’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM (EST) – which is only four days prior to the start of the Republican National Convention, where former President Trump is expected to be formally nominated as the 2024 Republican presidential nominee.  The Republican National Convention is scheduled for July 15-18, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

President Trump’s conviction does not bar him from running for president.

Fox News is covering this story HERE.

My brothers and sisters, there is so much that could be said, but suffice it say at the moment that this is a very sad day for the United States.  The political interference that is happening is on display in Manhattan, and it has nothing to do with otherwise legal ‘hush money’ payments from 2016.

Mainstream press outlets have been consistently reporting that a guilty verdict in this case would be, perhaps easily, overturned on appeal; however, even if this is indeed the case, the damage has been done to our legal system, seemingly in coordination with the wishes of the Biden administration.

The previously sound reputation of the United States regarding its unique, fair and effective justice system, as well as its international reputation as being a beacon of freedom across the globe, has been severely damaged.

A reminder from the scriptures:

Psalm 33:5 (NKJV)
“He loves righteousness and justice; [t]he earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.”

Micah 6:8 (ESV)
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

FGGAM will update this story as the situation warrants.

Dr. Jim Denison: I want to think with you about some cultural ramifications of the Trump’s jury decision in the light of biblical truth.
