Newsmax is reporting that the Biden administration withheld a shipment of American-made ammunition to Israel last week amid concerns over Israel’s potential invasion of Rafah in the Gaza Strip – where more than one million Palestinian refugees are reportedly taking shelter.
This marks the first time the United States has stopped a shipment to the Israeli military since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, and is reportedly raising concerns within the Israeli government.
During today’s Holocaust Remembrance Day (5/5/2024), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a statement, saying, in part, that “[i]n the terrible Holocaust, there were great world leaders who stood by idly; therefore, the first lesson of the Holocaust is: [i]f we do not defend ourselves, nobody will defend us. And, if we need to stand alone, we will stand alone.”

My brothers and sisters, in this writer’s view, the continuing decisions of the Biden administration to seemingly sabotage Israel’s war effort against international terror sponsor and actor, Iran, and the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah, and the administration’s recent efforts to intervene in Israeli politics by suggesting that Israel should consider fresh elections to potentially replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (see the FGGAM article HERE), are horribly inappropriate and misguided.
The United States would NEVER tolerate these same actions by another country, including Israel.
It is to the United States’ discredit that it has created the appearance, if not the actuality, of siding against Israel in its efforts to destroy the terror group Hamas from within Israel, and to mitigate the continuing existential threat from Iran and the Hezbollah terror organization.
On April 13, 2024, after assisting the Israel Defense Forces (“IDF”) in destroying a large percentage of drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles fired directly from Iran to the intended target, Israel, the United States (as it is also doing with Ukraine) is seemingly providing enough military aid and funding to prevent the destruction of our friends or allies (Israel and Ukraine) but not enough or in a manner to assure complete VICTORY. This approach extends conflicts or wars, and consequently, increases the number of deaths and overall destruction of infrastructure. [NOTE: FGGAM reported about the April 13, 2024 Iranian attack against Israel HERE.]
The primary goal of Israel in its war against Hamas – the destruction and removal of Hamas from within Israel – seems to be the very thing being prevented by the Biden administration’s reluctance to “allow” Israel to move forward with its attack on Rafah to bring the war to an end through victory.
So far as Israel is concerned, we should never forget that it is the only democratic (free) and true ally the United States has in the entire Middle East. It is also the only Jewish country and homeland in the entire WORLD, and it is surrounded by enemies which would like nothing more than to wipe it off the face of the earth, along with the entire population of the Jewish people.
Following the lessons learned during WWII, and in the face of increasing antisemitism and hate spreading globally, including upon college campuses, the United States would do well to remember what God has to say about His chosen people:
Genesis 12:3 (NKJV)
The LORD said to Abram (later Abraham): “I will bless those who bless you, [a]nd I will curse him who curses you; [a]nd in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Deuteronomy 7:6 (NKJV)
“For you [the Jews] are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself [emphasis mine], a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”
Zechariah 2:8-10 (NKJV)
“For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion [Jerusalem]! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,’ says the Lord.”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
