The Glass Heart In The Offering…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This morning in prayer I remembered a time I was asked to take up an offering at a church I was attending. I sprinkled the altar that morning with a bag of glass hearts. I remember telling the people to come and give as God would have, but he was looking for the whole heart. When they were ready and could put their whole heart in, they could put the glass heart in the envelope in the church offering.
It’s easy to put money in the offering. Some give ten percent, some give twenty percent and some give a lot more. I still believe God is asking today for the whole heart. We all know we need to give money to keep the building maintained, pay the pastor and staff, etc. I believe in tithing. I still believe that word I brought was God asking for the whole heart that morning. It’s the cost of the anointing. Maybe he was just dealing with me that morning, but I don’t think so.
How about you? What are you willing to put in the offering? What are you willing to lay down for the cause of Christ? Is your whole heart in?
Let’s Pray:
Father, we come before you today and we ask you to bring us all to the place where we can put our whole heart in the offering. You put your very life in as an offering for us while we were yet sinners.
Father, live your life in us and through us. We choose to lay down everything and put our whole heart in the offering this morning. (Tell him if that is true in your heart today and if you are not ready, ask him to bring you to the place when you can fully surrender).
Father, thank you for the anointing. Use it for your glory and your glory alone. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people.
