The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations in South Carolina confirmed Tuesday that they have been consulted about the suicide of Mica Miller, the late wife of Pastor John-Paul Miller of Solid Rock at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Miller was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at Lumber River State Park in Robeson County, North Carolina, on April 27.
“We have been in contact with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, but we don’t confirm/deny/comment on investigations,” U.S. Attorney’s Office Public Affairs Specialist Veronica R. Hill emailed The Christian Post in response to questions about the investigation. More Here
Suicide has no zip code. We weep, we pray……..suicide is a growing problem in America.
John-Paul Miller, founder and pastor at Solid Rock at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, made the shocking announcement at the end Sunday’s (April 28) worship service that his wife, Mica Miller, died by suicide.
Miller and his 30-year-old wife were married in 2017—a marriage that provided her with five stepchildren. The church’s website describes their family as ones “who have a heart to love God and love people.” More Here

More than 50,000 Americans died by suicide in 2023 — more than any year on record
It is a sad fact that some Christians have committed suicide. Adding to the tragedy is the false teaching that committing suicide automatically consigns one to hell. Many believe that a Christian who commits suicide will not be saved. This teaching is not supported in the Bible. I have dear friends whose son committed suicide. They were hurt so badly by so called Christian friends telling them that their son was now in hell! Hurt for a lifetime! My goodness! UGH!
Got Questions states: Scripture teaches that, from the moment we truly believe in Christ, we are guaranteed eternal life (John 3:16). According to the Bible, Christians can know beyond any doubt that they possess eternal life (1 John 5:13). Nothing can separate a Christian from God’s love (Romans 8:38–39). No “created thing” can separate a Christian from God’s love, and even a Christian who commits suicide is a “created thing”; therefore, not even suicide can separate a Christian from God’s love. Jesus died for all of our sins, and if a true Christian, in a time of spiritual attack and weakness, commits suicide, his sin is still covered by the blood of Christ. More Here
