Today we honor the Father’s. The Lord has placed them as heads of the home and spiritual leaders. We should be in constant prayer for them, especially as things get worse in the world.
This special day allows us to celebrate the God-given men who have been patient with us, shaped us, invested in us, loved us, helped us mature, and become what we are today.
“For I have chosen him so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”
Genesis 18:19
The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.”
Proverbs 23:24
A Father will provide for his family.
Defend his family against the adversary.
A Father will create peace within his family.
A Father will answer when a child in need calls.
A Father speaks life to his children.
There are many more blessings that come from a Father.
Fathers have a very important role in their families life. As the spiritual leaders and the heads of their home, they are to lead their children in the ways of the Lord.
The story of the prodigal son was more about the Father than the son. The prodigal son knew he could go back to his father. He knew the door was open.
How did he know that?
It’s obvious that all through the time of raising his son, this father had communicated his love. He had conveyed to him this message;
“No matter how far you go, you can always come back home again.”
That’s a Father’s love.
Happy Father’s Day.
