CNN reports that President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was found guilty this morning (6/11/2024) in a Delaware federal court on three felony, firearms-related charges.
The jury, which deliberated for just under three hours, returned guilty verdicts on all three charges, which stemmed from a revolver Hunter Biden bought in October 2018. The first two counts pertained to untruthful responses about drug use on a federal background check form, and the third count was for possessing a firearm while addicted to, or using, illegal drugs.
Hunter Biden could face up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000 at sentencing, although a maximum sentence is highly unlikely. Sentencing is typically set for 120 days following a verdict, meaning that sentencing is likely to happen prior to the general election this November.

My brothers and sisters, it seems to have been a recurring theme for a week or more in many news stories, but the truth matters to God!
Jesus said that He is the way, the truth and the life (see John 14:6). He is the truth.
The bible says that if we abide in the word of God, we will know the truth and the truth will set us free (see John 8:31-32)!
In fact, scripture tells us in the Ten Commandments that we are to always be honest and truthful (see Exodus 20:16).
Proverbs tells us that if we lie, we will not escape punishment (see Proverbs 19:5).
And, let us never forget that we have all fallen short of the glory of God (see Romans 3:23)! There is nothing ‘spectacular’ about the sins of Hunter Biden, because none of us are good by nature. We have all sinned. Praise God for the blood of Jesus! I thank God that Jesus was willing to suffer greatly and die upon the cross as the propitiation (the once-and-for-all sacrifice) for our sin!
It does us no good to relish another person’s troubles or harbor ill will. Let’s pray for the healing of Hunter Biden and God’s blessing upon his life. Let’s ask the Lord to speak into Hunter’s heart and turn the missteps in his life (just as God does in our lives) for Hunter’s good and God’s glory! Amen!
