Monday Morning Praise…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I read a post from a friend yesterday that has stuck with me. It said how she forgave everyone that betrayed her, gossiped about her, abandoned her, shamed her, misjudged her, slandered her, belittled her, gave up on her, accused her, mocked her, stole from her, sabotaged her, or hated her, she forgave them.
It all was wrapped up in her choice to forgive. We all go through things in life, and we are faced with the choice to forgive or hang on to what we have experienced. Like the lady that wrote the post, I too am going to forgive. I am going to choose the high road and let God sort it all out. He is much better at it. How about you? Ready to live a day free in Christ?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for the power of forgiveness today. We can live free because of who we are in you.
Father, thank you a bruised reed you will not break, and a smoldering wick you will not snuff out. In faithfulness, you will bring forth justice. (Isaiah 42:3)
Father, thank you for the grace to forgive the words and actions that have caused pain. Thank you that today we can choose to forgive the people that brought the hurt. Ephesians 4:32 tells us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave us.
Father, empower us with the grace to forgive and live free. Nothing escapes your watchful eye. You are the God that hears every conversation and sees every action.
Father, help our words to be kind and gentle as proverbs 15:1 tells us; A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Together, all across this globe we release the power of forgiveness. We receive the healing balm of Gilead, Jesus. Amen.
