Turn your eyes upon Jesus.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:18

Sometimes, we feel heavy burdened. There are days that go by so smoothly and they feel hopeful. Then there’s days you feel overwhelmed.

It may be one large thing bothering you or it may be a lot of little things that are adding up to this distress. We all have days like this and we have to remember, when we go through these dark times, these hard times, we have to remember what the Lord has said.

This is the one reason why it’s important to know the scripture and hide God‘s word in your heart. When you find yourself feeling that life is unbearable, with so much anxiety or fear or sadness or worry, you can draw your strength from the words of God.

The things he has said, the things he has done for us, the places he has brought us to and most importantly, what he is to us.

From the very beginning, He had us on his mind, he said he would never leave us. He would never abandon us. He walks with us very closely.

He gives us peace, not as the world gives, but the peace that surpasses all understanding.  Our hope should be in Christ alone.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

John 14:27

His love for us is so fierce. He said he is close to the brokenhearted and those crushed in spirit. He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

There are times we might feel like we’re doing OK. Everything‘s going well and you don’t need all this “ God stuff,” but trust me, you will find yourself in the pits of despair at some point in time. We will need him.

We have heard it said that every knee will bow and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord. At some point everyone will bow to him and confess,  but it’s a great treasure in our heart to choose God now, it’s easy to choose him while things are smooth.

We choose him because we love him, not because we’re forced to.

Lean on God today, give him all your cares and all your worries and all your strife. He loves you so much. He wants time with you and he wants you to trust him with these things.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

As the disciples on the boat did, remember to not keep your eye on the storm and the things flailing around you, keep your eyes on Jesus, the one who calms the storms.

He’s got it covered!

Many Blessing’s,
