Understanding, Yes or No?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I like to understand things. I like to know why I believe things and why I am doing things. It is not always that way with God. Sometimes we know why we are doing what we are doing and other times it is just because he needed us, and he could trust us.
I was reading this morning from Ecclesiastes 11:5-6. Actually, let’s read it together. As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.
I guess there are somethings we will never understand. God’s ways are higher than ours and his thoughts as well. (Isaiah 55:9)
Let’s Pray:
Father, just like your Word says there are things we don’t understand. The miracle of a new born baby, the wind or the stillness of day. Sometimes, even when you ask us to step out in faith, we don’t understand. One thing we can rest assured that your love is never ending, and you are always working for our good.
Father, light the path before us today and whether we understand or not, we will walk in your light because you are Emmanuel, God with us. May we be found faithful to do as you ask. Amen.
