I am very concerned about the safety of all! Evil is raging throughout the world. Please pray for the safety of all.  I posted this earlier: Arson attacks on French train network delay thousands of travelers hours before Olympic ceremony.

The Jerusalem Post Reports

Iran is behind a recent influence campaign aimed at intimidating members of the Israeli delegation to the Paris Olympics, the National Cyber Directorate announced on Thursday after a thorough investigation.

According to the investigation, the campaign involves hackers creating social media channels to publish personal information about the delegation members and sending them threatening messages. The Directorate stated that it is actively working with the State Attorney’s Cyber Unit to shut down these channels.

The hackers have reportedly been posing as a French organization named GUD to carry out their campaign. The Directorate said that it is coordinating with the Israeli Olympic Committee and the Security and Emergency Department of the Culture and Sports Ministry to ensure the safety of the delegation members. More Here

Why So Much Evil?

“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” Eph 4: 17, 18.

The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim. 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the road of hopelessness and self-destruction.

The phrase “dead to the world” appears in the Bible in Galatians 6:4, which says, “I am crucified to the world”. John Piper says that this phrase means that when someone trusts in Christ, their old, unbelieving self dies. The new person is characterized by: Trusting in Christ, Enjoying the life of Christ, and Living by faith.

Bottom line: Stand firm in God’s grace as a living hope in a dying world. Peter encourages suffering Christians to stand firm in God’s grace because of the living hope of the cross and resurrection that they have received through the new birth.
