Need A Thursday Jump Start?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Thursday! Yesterday I was taking a quick break and was going to run an errand. Well maybe it wasn’t quite an errand, it was to get a milkshake (confession time). Somehow, I left the light on in my car earlier in the day and my car didn’t start. A co-worker was going to loan me her cables and we were going to jump start the car. I was going to call the garage to come, but we thought we could handle the situation. I must admit I was feeling a little proud we got the hood up and found out how to make it stay up. Things were looking good until the cables looked different than what we were used to seeing. We had two sets of cables and we thought it should only be one set. Two negatives on one set and two positives on one set. We decided not to use them and try the car again without the jumpstart. It was a weak turnover, but it started.
Maybe today you are feeling weary. Maybe you are feeling tired, weak and need a jumpstart. Let’s put some praise music on and ask God to fill us up with his power. No need to have a weak day when we walk with the highest power in both heaven and on earth. Two positives and no negatives. Ready for a great day?
Arms up to receive? Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that you will pour fresh oil into your vessels this morning, just for asking. Father, we pray today that we will be full to overflowing with your anointing and your power for your glory, oh God. We need to receive from your throne room every morning.
Father, recharge, refill us as we worship you. Father, may everyone we meet today receive from the overflow in our lives. You said it is not by might, nor by power, but by your spirit. (Zechariah 4:6) Spirit fall fresh on us this morning, we need more of you. We receive. Amen.
It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done. How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts! Senseless people do not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever. But you, Lord, are forever exalted. For surely your enemies, Lord, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me. My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.” (Psalm 92)
