Promised Peace
John 14:25-28 NKJV
[25] “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. [26] But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. [27] Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. [28] You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.
Hearts grow fearful.
Worry settles deep into our bones.
Even despair can sneak into the hearts of the most devoted Christian.
We have something that the world will never offer, the Peace of Jesus Christ!
A promise to those that will submit everything to The Foot Of the Cross!
Those that will seek for the Peace from the One that sits on the Throne of Glory!
Let us pray as abide in and ask the peace of Christ to seep into the depths of our being!
Heavenly Father, we come boldly to Your Holy Throne of Grace and Peace by the Name above all other names, Your Holy Son and our Holy Hope, Jesus Christ.
We thank you for the Grace,Love and Mercy you show us. You are Holy and Supreme and sit on Your Throne on watch.
You see the hearts of men growing colder.
With that coldness comes strife.
The strife brings fear and we start to have conflict in that very same heart You have restored.
We ask the Lord that You forgive us of the sins we have done against you. All the sin of our past, present and future. The sin that we hide. The sin unknowing and knowing.
We thank You for the Perfect Sacrifice we find in Your Son Jesus Christ, our Prince of Peace!
Jesus, will You be our firm foundation. Will You please take the animosity of our hearts and bring Your peace upon it.
When the night grows cold and dark will You be the Light of the World and bring us warmth and comfort.
You promised us in Your Holy and Precious Word that You would leave Your peace with us.
So much trouble in the world, so much hurt,pain and fear. There is an uncertainty that fills us.
When terror strikes will You come on our behalf and shield us.
You have calmed the storms before Lord, will you calm the storms in our hearts.
Will You bring comfort.
Be our strength.
Be our unshakeable foundation.
Be our guide.
Be our guard.
Holy Spirit we ask that You fulfill the Promise of our Lord!
Give us wisdom and discernment.
Give us guidance back to the tender Prince of Peace!
Let us all be confident in Your trustworthiness.
Let us cling to the promises that You will never leave us, You will never forsake us. Let our hearts have peace knowing and understanding that You are always with us, even unto Eternity!
We praise You Father, not just for what You do, but for Who You are!
The Mighty Prince of Peace and Perfection!
We ask all of this expecting Lord that Your will be done in our lives.
In the Holy and Precious name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
