Every Place Our Foot Treads?

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Life is such an adventure. I love journeying every day with the man that created it all. It is such an amazing feeling to know that we have someone always on our side. He loved us enough to die for us. He always wants the very best for everyone. He tells us weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) I look forward to my time every morning with the one that directs my steps. How about you?

My book, Secret Shame will be advertised in New York City this month and I have been  thinking about the time I spent in the big city. We walked and walked and walked some more from the time our plane landed. I over packed as I usually do, and my suitcase was way too heavy for me to maneuver along with two or three small carry ones dangling around. My wrists ached for at least a month after I returned home. However, the scriptures kept coming to mind from Joshua 1. It seemed everywhere we went we ended up walking and I kept praying for God to enlarge my territory according to his Word even through the pain of carrying the heavy luggage.

Actually, let’s read some scripture from Joshua 1 together. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.  From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore unto their fathers to give them.

God loves people. He doesn’t love any one more or any less than he loves us. We are all equal at the foot of the cross. He sets us up for success. He enlarges our territory; he makes every crooked path straight. Isaiah 45:2 tells us this morning and every morning that he will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: he will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And he will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that he, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, he has even called thee by thy name: he has surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. He is the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside him; He girded thee, though thou hast not known me: That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside him. He is the Lord, and there is no one else.

That makes for a great morning. Let’s Pray:

Father, enlarge our territory according to your Word. May you continue to order our footsteps as we keep our eyes looking to the hills from where our help cometh. (Psalm 121: 1-2) Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Thank him today for ordering your footsteps.
