For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.
Proverbs 24:16
Fall down seven times, get up eight.
Many times we believe that things are way too hard for us to move on from, or that we have sinned too horribly bad for God to forgive us.
That is the great ploy of Satan! He wants to keep us down trodden. Why?
Because he hates God. He wants God to hurt. When you don’t go directly to God for help, or if you don’t trust him through it, that takes from God’s grace. That must be hurtful to God.
The message of the cross is a love story. Jesus died for our sins and took all of it to the cross. The extent of God’s love is demonstrated by the selfless act to die for our sins.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18
Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:39
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”
Romans 5:8
Whenever you feel too sinful or too “bad” just remember that you are literally fed fiercely by the Lord of all the earth.
He is the God of second chances. He chose to give His life so that we all could have the most important second chance of all.
He never did anything wrong, yet He was willing to bear the punishment for the sins of the world.
God said, “Go and sin no more.”
Sin, It’s really not worth it. It never does what you hoped it would. It brings consequences, sometimes very severe. But if you find yourself falling again, turn back to Jesus and ask him for forgiveness.
You see, all God’s after is a broken and contrite heart.
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.
Psalm 51:17
That’s God’s amazing grace!
Many Blessing’s,
