Lord Have Mercy! Police investigate after 3 found dead in southeast Albuquerque

I cannot keep up with the killings in Albuquerque. I am sick and tired of this. Many people have no hope here. I am so very sad……it is getting worse here. God has me and Sharon planted here, our mission is out on the streets sharing the love of JESUS. Why is there a Church on every street corner but such hellish behavior everywhere?

Does your Church have homeless people attending? Does your Church have people with disabilities attending? Does your Church reach out into the poverty/crime stricken areas? Does your Church have a ministry for people suffering from mental illness? Do you have a referral system for those suffering?

I cannot remember the last time I saw a child of God in a wheelchair at any Church. My goodness folks! Lord have mercy!

I will never forget my years when I filled the pulpit from time to time at FBC in Reserve. For one stretch I was going out there every Sunday for over 6 months! Over 8 hours on the road. I now go to Glenwood FBC from time to time. At that time I served in Reserve Deacon Charles McCargish and his late wife Joan would bring people to Church. Charles and Joan would pick them up. Most of the time they were hurting people, people who where having a very tough time, many needing a shower and food. What a ministry! What an example. Sadly I do not see the type of ministry Charles and Joan had in most Churches. Is it in yours?

As Sharon and I go out into the streets and byways, we find that so many, many people see the American Church as no longer being effective in our society. I also see it. I witness it. I have spoken on this until I am blue in the face. So has George Barna: “People have become more selfish, churches have become less influential, pastors have become less Bible-centric”
