Fox News (along with all other U.S. mainstream media outlets) is reporting that presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (Independent) suspended his campaign today (8/23/2024) and announced his support for former President Donald J. Trump.
During an event today in Phoenix, Arizona, Kennedy stated that the Democratic Party “ran a sham primary” and described the modern Democratic Party as “the party of war, censorship, corruption, big pharma, big tech, big ag, and big money.”
Kennedy further stated that “each time that our volunteers turned in those towering boxes of signatures needed to get on the ballot, the DNC dragged us into court, state after state, attempting to erase their work and disappear with the will of the voters, which signed those petitions.” He continued, saying that “the [DNC] deployed DNC-aligned judges to throw me and other candidates off the ballot, and to throw President Trump in jail.”

My brothers and sisters, as a reminder, FGGAM does not pursue politics (for the sake of politics) in our reporting and articles, because we give all the honor and glory to God! We report the news and provide commentary based upon a biblical worldview.
It is, however, inescapable that for our civil government to work effectively and for Christians to fulfill their civic duty of voting for candidates most reflective of Christian values and biblical truths, there needs to be an awareness of what is happening with the politicians holding, or desiring to hold, office as our governmental representatives.
The policies pursued and enacted by our elected governmental officials can mean the difference between: 1) life and death (e.g., abortion, assisted suicide, crime-fighting legislation, medical access and drug costs or availability); 2) financial stability or collapse (e.g., management of the federal budget, economic policies, and energy policies wrapped up with global warming and carbon-neutral vehicle goals); 3) peace or war (e.g., foreign relations and negotiating skills, vision, treaties, and being a competent commander-in-chief); and not least of all, 4) the continuing assurance that we remain free to worship God without government restrictions and rules attempting to secularize and equate the moral value of various false world religions with Christianity. So we need to be reasonably informed!
The bible reminds us that civil government is ordained of God and that unless the government attempts to promote immoral policies contrary to the bible (such as the killing of innocent babies through abortion), we are to submit ourselves to the governing authorities:

“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore[,] whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good.
