Arizona Central reports that yesterday (9/20/2024), the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that the nearly 100,000 voters stuck in limbo following a citizenship tracking error will be allowed to vote a full ballot in November.

The court’s order follows an emergency lawsuit regarding the state’s handling of voters whose eligibility became questionable because of a recently-detected ‘coding glitch’ in the state’s motor vehicle database that may have allowed some voters to register as full-ballot voters without providing proof of citizenship – which is a requirement under state law.

Although Arizona requires its voters to submit documentary proof of citizenship to participate in state and local races, the high court ruled that the issue was discovered too close to the November General Election to allow for changes to voters’ eligibility under existing legal precedent.

Fox News is also reporting in this matter, citing that nearly 98,000 person without verified U.S. citizenship will be allowed to vote in Arizona’s upcoming state and local elections, according to yesterday’s ruling by the Arizona Supreme Court.

An Arizona motor vehicle database error called into question the citizenship status of roughly 100,000 registered Arizona voters, affecting individuals who obtained their driver’s licenses before October 1996 and subsequently received duplicates before registering to vote after 2004.

My brothers and sisters, what is interesting to this writer, is that the Arizona Supreme Court didn’t rule on the merits of the concern that non-citizens might vote in the upcoming General Election and mandate corrective action.  Rather, the court decided it was not going to run the risk of preventing any legal citizen from voting – even if an undetermined number of non-citizens was allowed to submit ballots contrary to existing Arizona law.

This is exactly why the United States, regarding immigration and related voting matters, is completely divided to the point of disfunction.  The rule of law, even when documented to have been put at risk or broken (to one degree or another), always seems to take a ‘back seat’ to political correctness and ideology.

Sometimes difficult problems require a response, regardless of how ‘difficult’ the corrective action might be!

Praise God that scripture tells us that, as believers, we have the mind of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 2:16) and that a righteous person’s prayers are greatly effective (see James 5:16)!

Let’s pray that the peace and the truth found only in Jesus Christ (see John 14:6), and that the wisdom of God (see 1 Corinthians 3:18-19), not the wisdom of the world, will rule in our hearts and minds during this upcoming General Election.

Chaos, disorder and angst are the tools of the evil one, who comes to steal, kill (murder) and destroy (see John 10:10).  In prayer, in the authority of the name of Jesus and by the power of His shed blood, let’s bind the deceit of the devil in our upcoming elections and loose the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and upon all of our governmental leaders as we enter into a very critical time for the stability of the United States (see Matthew 18:18).

Remember, the answer to every issue of life is found in Christ Jesus.  Jesus has overcome the world (see John 16:33)!

Here are the above-referenced scriptures:

1 Corinthians 2:16 (Amplified Bible)
“For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?  But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].”

James 5:16 (NKJV)
“…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

John 14:6 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to [Thomas], ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

1 Corinthians 3:18-19 (NKJV)
“Let no one deceive himself.  If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.  For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.  For it is written, ‘He catches the wise in their own craftiness…’”.

John 10:10 (NKJV)
“The thief [the devil or Satan] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I [Jesus] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Matthew 18:18 (NKJV)
“Assuredly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

John 16:33 (NKJV)
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
