REUTERS reports that yesterday (9/27/2024), Israel Defense Forces (“IDF”) killed Hezbollah’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in a targeted airstrike on the Hezbollah’s underground headquarters located beneath a residential building in Dahiyeh – a Hezbollah-controlled suburb of Beirut.

His death marks a devastating blow to the terror organization, as it reels from an escalating campaign of Israeli attacks.  It is also a huge blow to Iran, given the major role Nasrallah played in the Tehran-backed regional ‘Axis of Resistance’.

Fox News reports that a Hezbollah representative eventually confirmed the death of Nasrallah, and in a statement supplied to REUTERS, stated that Hezbollah would continue its battle against Israel “in support of Gaza and Palestine, and in defense of Lebanon and its steadfast and honorable people.”

Rich Goldberg, Senior Advisor, Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told Fox News that Nasrallah’s death would prove to be a significant victory for Israel because of his close ties to Iran.

Goldberg stated that “people don’t appreciate that Nasrallah took over for Soleimani as senior strategist for Khamenei.  Nasrallah had operational control of Lebanon and Syria – this is not just a strategic game-changer for Hezbollah, Lebanon and Syria, it’s a strategic game-changer for Tehran.”

My brothers and sisters, it is impressive and refreshing to this writer that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has shown no wavering in his stated goals to end the scourge of Iranian, Hezbollah and Hamas terrorism upon Israel and its citizens.

With the United States, much of the European Union, the International Criminal Court, and the United Nations constantly speaking and ruling against Israel and seemingly showing support, at various levels, for Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran, it is encouraging to observe a world leader who understands his role and hierarchy of responsibilities to his country – and whether we want to acknowledge it or not, the world.

FGGAM recently reported on the UN’s demand that Israel withdrawal completely from the West Bank HERE.  The position of the UN, whether regarding Israel or virtually all of its human rights decisions, has been consistently flawed and skewed in the direction of totalitarian countries – completely disregarding the significance of the Holy Land – where Jesus was born, taught, crucified, resurrected as the Savior of the World, and to where He will return to establish His reign upon the earth.

Embedding terrorist operations within humanitarian zones – and the civilian population in general – is ‘standard operating procedure’ for Hezbollah (as well as Hamas) leaving Israel with few options in its battle to secure its northern border and protect its citizens from terror nationwide other than to strike wherever necessary, but with as much pinpoint accuracy as humanly possible.

Eliminating Nasrallah sends a powerful message to those who are spiritually blinded, unwilling to accept reason, and lacking perspective as to what Western nations can bring to bear in matters of war.  Hezbollah, like many other terrorist organizations, operates within a culture that seemingly values death more than life and only bends to brute force.

Hezbollah, like Hamas, breaks every known and internationally-accepted rule of warfare.  It is a terrorist organization supported by Iran and holds the expressed goal of killing all Jews and removing the nation of Israel from the face of the earth.

Let’s remember what the bible has to say about the Jewish people and Israel:

Deuteronomy 7:6 (NKJV)
“For you [the Jews] are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself [emphasis mine], a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”

Zechariah 2:8 (Amplified Bible)
“For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘[a]fter glory He has sent Me against the nations which plunder you—for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.’”

And, as hard as it may be to accept, the bible says that there is a time when war becomes necessary:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (Amplified Bible)
A Time for Everything
“There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven—[a] time to be born and a time to die; [a] time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.  A time to kill and a time to heal; [a] time to tear down and a time to build up.  A time to weep and a time to laugh; [a] time to mourn and a time to dance.  A time to throw away stones and a time to gather stones; [a] time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.  A time to search and a time to give up as lost; [a] time to keep and a time to throw away.  A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; [a] time to keep silent and a time to speak.  A time to love and a time to hate; [a] time for war and a time for peace [emphasis mine].”

Praise Jesus forevermore!
