Lord Have Mercy! I have watched many of the video’s that have come out of areas struck by Helene. It makes me and Sharon feel so bad. We are praying for all who have lost loved ones, and those who have lost their homes and belongings and all that have been injured, we just are so very, very sadden. I pray that all Churches will be in prayer today for all that are in harms way. Danger still exists. Flood waters are a major problem. It is just a very horrible situation. Extreme heartbreak here at the Moede household and FGGAM.
Has America forgotten how to mourn for others? Pray for others? I pray all will seek the face of God today and all days. Flags should be flown at half-staff. “The United States flag flies at half-staff or at half-mast when the nation or a state is in mourning,” USA.gov says. “The president, a state governor, or the mayor of the District of Columbia can order flags to fly at half-staff.”
So many Americans do not know what Lord, have mercy means. “Lord, have mercy” expresses a need for God’s mercy and a declaration of humility. It can also be a way to entrust one’s life and the lives of loved ones to Christ’s merciful heart.
America continues to move away from God. The Church is losing its influence on Americans! Lord have mercy!

Death toll continues to climb
Helene killed at least 52 people, including three firefighters, a woman and her 1-month-old twins and an 89-year-old woman whose house was struck by a falling tree. According to an Associated Press tally, the deaths occurred in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
More deaths were recorded in Pinellas County as of Friday morning than any other county in Florida. Five fatalities occurred in neighborhoods where evacuation orders had been issued, according to Bob Gualtieri, the sheriff of Pinellas County near St. Petersburg. He noted that some residents, who disregarded the warnings, ended up seeking refuge in their attics to escape the rising floodwaters.
“We attempted to deploy boats and high-water vehicles, but we encountered too many obstacles,” Gualtieri explained. He also mentioned that the death toll might increase as emergency teams conduct door-to-door searches in the affected areas. “I can’t think of a time Pinellas County has ever experienced the kind of surge we experienced last night,” Gualtieri said in a Friday morning news conference.
