Unity We Need You…

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. Psalm 133:1

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This morning, I received a message requesting a prayer for unity. I remembered a prayer I penned in 2015 or 2016. I was fasting and praying for a meeting I would be attending that evening. I was the leader of that prayer time and began to fast and pray. I have always trusted God to put me in position and take me out. I only wanted what he wanted and could trust me with. I had been praying for and invited a person that their daughter was facing prison for a very long time. That mother was hurting. She needed our prayers, and she needed our love. Her daughter had been through so much in her own life that she didn’t even want to live. I challenged us all with these words that night that I felt God had given me on my lunch that afternoon during prayer. I would like to share them once again.

I have given you a taste of my river. I will not tolerate gossip, backbiting and devouring one another. All of my people are important to me, all of my people. I do not love you anymore than I love them. Come together; lay down agendas, lay down pretense. Do you want the river to continue, or do you want the spring to stop? What I am asking of you is to lay it all down. If you have ought against anyone, make it right to the best of your ability. There is no room for offense in my river. There is only room for servant hood. If you desire to be a part of what I desire to do through you, you must not think of yourselves as more important than your brother or sister. I died for them too; I died for them while they were yet sinners. Can you love like I have commanded you? Can you come together and serve from a willingness to please me? Not for recognition, not from your own fleshly desires, but because I have asked of you?

Can you imagine how much could be accomplished for the Kingdom of God if we all worked together? Can you imagine what could be done on our jobs, in our families, in our communities if we all rowed together? We are all different, unique and loved by the same God. Our personalities with their strengths and their weaknesses still must surrender to the Word of God. Amen?

Let’s pray it again in 2024:

Father, your Word say’s How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. Let it be so we pray. We need unity in America God. We need unity in our world.

Father, you put people in position, and you take people out of position. We pray your perfect will in Jesus name. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. For this is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it.
